MARS YARD MAPS REFERENCE
Getting data from
mission data pins
Shortly after completing a rover mission your Mars Yard Map will be populated with special Data Pins at each precise location where data was collected.
NOTE: The title bar of the dialogue box includes the XY coordinates for the pin. This location is the location the rover was at when the data was collected. It is NOT necessarily the location of the data itself. For instance: when you perform a LIBS test, the data that is stored at this Data Pin will be of the rock your laser was pointed at from this location, not the rocks under the rover at the Data Pin location. Similarly, if you capture an image at this location, the image will be of what the Pan/Tilt camera was looking at from this Data Pin location.
HOW TO GET DATA FROM A DATA PIN
1. Locate and click on the data pin you are interested in. If no Data Pins are visible, it may be that the data layer visibility is turned off. You can turn it on from the Show Layers button. |
