TELEOPERATION INTERFACE REFERENCE

Rover status

The Rover Status is a read only panel providing a text and graphic representation of the last commands sent to the rover. The status is updated based on commands sent from any user controlling the rover, not just the interface you are using.

Interface: Active/Inactive
Normally when you log in to the interface the Rover Status window will show “Interface: Inactive”. This means that while you can click on camera windows to change the Main View and can even change the values in the Driving and Pan/Tilt Controls, your commands are not being sent to the rover. On the day of your mission, the Mars Lab team will authorise your access and the Rover Status will change to “Interface: Active”.

CAUTION: When the interface is shown as “Active” your commands will be sent to the rover and could possibly damage it. So please only send commands to an Active interface when Mars Lab staff indicate it is safe to do so.

Move the 3D model:
You can alter the 3D orientation of the rover model to investigate its movements from different angles. Move your mouse over the rover and click-and-drag.
