Meet Dr. Vandi Tompkins: adrenalin junkie, motorcycle rider and Mars rover driver. Live from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California (JPL), Vandi will speak to young people across Australia and share her story about how she came to work at JPL and drive the Mars rover, Curiosity.

She will talk about her dreams as a young girl to work for NASA and her fascination with space, the successes and challenges she experienced along the way, the studies and work that led her to her current work, and of course, her experiences driving Curiosity.
